My heart goes out to John and his family while mourning his sons loss. It’s really sad what they are going through and it has greatly affected his work. John and his wife Kelly Preston were absent from the premiere of his new movie ‘The Taking of Pelham 123′. 

His costar Denzel Washington has this to say when asked about John not being at the premiere:

“I talked to John (recently). Needless to say, he’s struggling. He’s struggling. More than talking to him, I listened to him, for about two or three hours. It’s going to take time. What can you say but just be there as a friend? He’s such a sweet, sweet person.”
