Did a harsh joke directed towards The King of pop in the new Bruno movie get pulled last minute? Universal has announced the scene featuring La Toya Jackson was officially pulled. Sacha Boron Cohen is notorious to making people squirm, walk out of the theatre, or pee themselves.
Apparently he does have some exceptions where he feels some things cross the line. Cohen and producers felt any type of Jackson joke wouldn’t be appropriate at this time. It does suck that this would have to happen to a film’s opening week but nothing more tragic then The King’s death.
With the way we all consume media at such a fast pace these days I’m thinking keeping the joke in the movie wouldn’t be half bad. Bruno is bound to be outragously funny and I feel that any that gets offended by the Jackson jokes will only be thrown out of the element for a quick minute. You can’t blame Bruno (Sacha Cohen) for jokes that where probably written many many many months ago.
Do you think they should recut the film and destroy all the ones already produced?
