Happy New Year

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

So the year isn’t over just yet but I thought I would post a little bit about what I expect for 2010. I’m hoping to have a lot change in the new year. I know most people say this and never follow through but I’m going to make this year different. Here are some of my New Years Resolutions for 2010.

  1. Get back in shape
  2. Continue to create youtube content
  3. Work on my blog more
  4. Have 500+ subscribers on YouTube
  5. Produce a bunch of short films / skits
  6. Make more money…DUH
  7. Find something I’m REALLY good at and put all my time and energy into it. I’m sick of using every skill I possess and never mastering one
  8. Stop to enjoy the little things in life
  9. and last travel more

Avatar (2009)

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

Directed by: James Cameron

Cast:

Sam Worthington as Jake Sully

Sigourney Weaver as Dr. Grace Augustine

Joel Moore as Norm Spellman

Theatrical Release: December 18th, 2009

Synopsis: Avatar is the story of an ex-Marine who finds himself thrust into hostilities on an alien planet filled with exotic life forms. As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body, he finds himself torn between two worlds, in a desperate fight for his own survival and that of the indigenous people. More than ten years in the making, Avatar marks Cameron’s return to feature directing since helming 1997′s Titanic, the highest grossing film of all time and winner of eleven Oscars® including Best Picture. WETA Digital, renowned for its work in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and King Kong, will incorporate new intuitive CGI technologies to transform the environments and characters into photorealistic 3D imagery that will transport the audience into the alien world rich with imaginative vistas, creatures and characters. –© 20th Century Fox

My Review: This movie has really revolutionized the film business. When you watch the movie you almost forget that the characters whom are CG are actually not real. I felt every emotion while watching this film. It’s exciting to see how far Cameron pushed the envelope. If you’re a fan of amazing cinematics, action, and adventure then Avatar is for you. You will get lost in the story and world they created for the movie. Check out my video review below.

Video Review:

Sherlock Holmes (2009)

Friday, December 25th, 2009

Directed by: Guy Ritchie

Cast:

Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes

Jude Law as John Watson

Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler

Theatrical Release: December 25th, 2009

Synopsis: In a dynamic new portrayal of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous characters, “Sherlock Holmes” sends Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson on their latest challenge. Revealing fighting skills as lethal as his legendary intellect, Holmes will battle as never before to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country. –© Warner Bros

My Review: Awesome movie by Guy Ritchie. I feel he has had quite the dry spell with his last few movies like “Rock and Rolla” and “Revolver” but this one really came through. Some where saying the movie was over polished but I think it fit right in with the London setting. I was pleased by the chemistry of Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. They both bounced off each other really well and made it believable they have been partners for quite some time. I highly recommend seeing this movie in the theaters. It looked great and had just enough action mixed with comedy.
