The Dodge Power Wagon started its illustrious career as a military workhouse on the battlefield during World War II. To the soldiers it won over it was nicknamed the WC, and after the war was over they wanted to bring them back home with them. This is how the “civilian” Power Wagon was born.

These trucks are going through a bit of a renaissance now with the help of Legacy Classic Trucks. They are taking lost forgotten Power Wagons and giving them the tender loving care they deserve. “I find them abandoned, with trees growing through them. But I’ll buy it if the frames are good, if I can get half a truck in really good shape.“, said Legacy Classics founder, Winslow S. Bent.

The gallery above clearly illustrates their talents, but just in case you were wondering, the Dodge Legacy Power Wagon comes in a choice between a supercharged, 430 hp, 6.2-liter Chevrolet V8; a 3.9-liter Cummins four-cylinder turbodiesel with 500 pound-feet of torque for pulling power; or a 7.0-liter, 430 hp stroked Chrysler 426 Hemi V8. As for the interior, they fit the trucks with Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, and Italian leather Cadillac seats.

Unfortunately, owning a piece of history doesn’t come cheap. For just around $185,000 USD, a Dodge Legacy Power Wagon can be yours. For more detail on this beautiful truck overhaul, visit Autoblog.
