The Morgan EV3 is due to make its first debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, and its plan is to flip the script on what we know about zero emissions motoring. ‘What if an all-electric vehicle was bespoke made, handcrafted and exhilarating to drive?’ You had me at bespoke made.

The EV3 celebrates not only traditional British motor manufacturing, but the use of new technology to deliver driving excitement like never before. This unveiling follows the soft launch of the Phase 1 EV3 mule vehicle back in 2015. Weighing less than 1,100-lbs (500kg), the final ‘pre-production phase’ of the EV3 has a range of 150 miles.

“The EV3 is an exciting opportunity for our customers to enjoy the unique Morgan driving experience and the joy of tailored manufacture whilst remaining conscientious towards the future of our planet.” – Steve Morris, Managing Director, Morgan Technologies Ltd.

When put up against petrol 3 wheelers on the market, the EV3 blows them away. 0-62mph in less than 9-seconds with a top speed of 90mph. Inside the tubular space frame chassis is a 20KWh Lithium Battery and a liquid cooled 46kW motor driving the rear wheel. Unlike its family members, the EV3 is the first Morgan vehicle to receive composite carbon panels in its body’s construction. The body’s shape is inspired by 1930’s aero-engine race cars, classic motorcycles and 1950’s fantasy automatons.
