In Rare Form is an understatement

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

I had the pleasure of seeing my friends improv group ‘In Rare Form‘ perform last night in Santa Monica at ‘The Westside Comedy Theater‘. This talented bunch was really In Rare Form with their witty humor. My best bud Lander Yeoman has always made me crack up and I regret not seeing their show sooner.

You must see their show next time they perform. Oh and good news! They perform once a week so make sure you go and support them.

Check out their site to see when they perform and to read a little bit about the cast. I guarantee you’ll love them.

This kid is sick. First time I saw him was when I was at the Maxim Top 100. He was opening for DJ AM in the beginning of the night and really got the party started. If your in the Hollywood crowd then you probably have been to one of his sets. He mixes at the hot spots in LA such as MyHouse, Roxy on sunset, Guys & Dolls, and much more.

Check his myspace page out for upcoming events: http://www.myspace.com/djmarshallbarnes

Some people shouldn’t go to EDC

Saturday, July 4th, 2009

So I was browsing some pictures from EDC (electric daisy carnival) and came across so many pictures of people that just don’t seem to belong. For anyone that doesn’t know what EDC is it’s one of the biggest raves in the world. This specific one was held in Los Angeles downtown. Sad I missed all of it’s craziness, some of the best DJ’s where their this year.

So here are the people that don’t belong:

Pete Wentz’s co-owned bar closing because of alcohol to minors

Kids getting into club / bars in New York and drinking underage???? Holy moly. I think that is the first time I’ve heard such a thing…NOT! Pete and his partners must have been super shocked to hear they had to close due to court order.

“This is breaking the law and taken very seriously,” according to an NYPD Officer. ”If the problem consistently happens, there is a chance of permanent shutdown of the bar.”

Pete’s partners are members from the bands Gym Class Heroes and Cobra Starship.

Confessions of a Paparazzo

Want to read an interesting take on the Paparazzi life and what they go through? Read this! I don’t have much sympathy for these people but maybe because it’s a girl talking about her experience I felt more touched by what she had to say.

Maxim’s Hot 100 Party

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

Wow wow wow. This party was amazing. It took place at Santa Monica Airport in a hangar. DJ Marshal Barnes started the show and his partner DJ AM came in and finished the night. This place was a boys dream. That boy was ME! Girls running around in the shortest shorts known to man, chest bursting out of their dresses, or in some cases their skimpy tank top. All that you would have expected from a Maxim event.

One of the highlights of the night was being able to hang a few of the girls from the upcoming horror movie Sorority Row. Jamie Chung, Briana Evigan, Caroline D’Amore, and Audrina Patridge. Audrina only walked by for a few just to say hi. Then she went off looking for Justin Bobby. Well maybe she didn’t but in my head thats what I think happened. Jamie was seriously the coolest chick. My friend Troy whom I was invited by happened to know Jamie through our friend Stewart Hendler. He directed Sorority Row. I was fortunate enough to see Sorority Row and was excited to tell them my feedback. If you don’t know who I mentioned above look at the image below.

There where sponsors galore at this place. Besides Maxim being the big name around the party you also saw Dr. Pepper, True Religion, and much much more. It really made the party with how the setup was. Imagine walking into a HUGE hangar. Right before entering is the red carpet where Brooke Burke was interviewing the arriving celebs. The hangar was outfitted with hotties all around. Right in the beginning they had a few pool tables where girls would play against you. Classic. I can’t forget to mention it was open bar and they had at least 8 bars to walk up to. I never ran into a line. They did an amazing job running the whole show. The only complaints I heard was from people wanting to eat something more substantial then the nachos and churros they served. Many came off of being set all day or in some cases coke binges. LOL

Can’t wait for next year :) Thanks Troy!
