“Protesters are furious about how the Israeli Navy sailors embarked on a warship in order to stop a flotilla of supposed activists attempting to deliver aid to Gaza in spite of Israel’s blockade May 30, 2010 in Haifa, Israel.

Protesters gather to make their anger known by marching outside the Israeli Consulate in Los Angeles, Calif. on March 4,2010. Fights Broke out, foul language is shared between the protesters and counter protesters.

How can you not love this? I know many have attacked the President for being so free spirited (ex: calling Kanye West a ‘Jackass’ or killing a fly during an interview) but how can you hate on someone that is so cool? He shows that he has character and lots of it. The picture below was not photoshopped. He was wielding a toy light saber against US Olympic Fencer Tim Morehouse during an event to promote Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympics. Awesome!

What will California do?

The Governator Governor of California announced to legislative leaders that the prediction of the deficit will nearly double to $15.4 billion. What does that mean for the rest of us? Most likely it means less income coming in.

My main concern with all of our economic problems are whether or not things will become cheaper. For example if we’re not making the same income as usual will the renters start to lower prices to accommodate? I think this is where America fails. If your in control of something such as rent most won’t care to lower the costs to accommodate the times. I’m hoping if I get some type of loss in my paycheck my building will become cheaper.

I’m still not sure on how I rate Arnold as a governor. So far there hasn’t been substantial evidence of him doing anything FANTASTIC. Now that’s not to say I haven’t missed some things. I don’t consider myself the most political citizen. It could be the fact that he use to be an idol growing up as a Film Star. Maybe it’s the fact that he’s too busy appearing in a film franchise he is famous for – ‘Terminator Salvation’? Who knows. I guess for us Californians we will just have to sit back, tuck our heads in between our legs and pray.

For those of you in the world that doesn’t know whats going on in California right now here it is. GIANT GAY AND STRAIGHT PROTESTS. Protesting the NO ON H8TE campaign. California just passed prop 8 which is banning same sex marriages. As you may well know I’ve posted information about this stuff on the site. (couple posts below this one). I just wanted to bring some awareness to the cause with some pictures my friend Sheida took. There will be another big protest again tonight and on Saturday. These are needed to get this thing over turned. Let’s all hope this works.

I was extremly happy waking up this morning knowing that we have a new president that I actually am proud of. Then came the bad news. The H8ters that voted yes on prop 8. I am disgusted in anyone that voted yes to this. I read an article over at PerezHilton.com that majority where latinos and blacks that voted yes. UMM HELLO??? HAVEN’T YOU BEEN FIGHTING FOR YOUR RIGHTS IN THIS COUNTRY FOR YEARS NOW?????????? WTF. The good news is that there are still a number of absentee ballots we are waiting on. So stay tuned. There could be a miracle in which this could be flopped. Fingers crossed.
