Careful what you tweet

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

Could a simple tweet telling your friends and followers what you’re doing result in being robbed? Yes!

According to the site PleaseRobMe.com (clever name), they certainly think so. The website is not attended to get people to rob your house but to bring awareness to how you should rethink your twitter posts. To give you an example of what the website does check out the screen capture I just posted below:

Because most twitter users like myself decide not to set post privately our twitter feed is an open market. Imagine if someone knew where you lived and for whatever reason didn’t like you. If you tweet something like, “Going to Hawaii all next week. Can’t wait!”. Now that person knows exactly where you’ll be and has plenty of time to rob you.

Now this post wasn’t suppose to scare you and stop you from using Twitter, but just be more aware of what your doing in your day to day social media. Many are willing to give out their personal minute to minute information without realizing the consequences.

Do you agree with the site PleaseRobMe.com or do you find it ridiculous? Me personally, I feel it’s a wake up call. If anything it made me more aware. Oh, and if you don’t believe criminals are using things like Twitter to find out where people are then just ask Paris Hilton. She was robbed by her supposed friends because they knew whether or not she was out of the house or not.

F’ed up!

Illuminating bath tub

Monday, February 15th, 2010

This is real cool. The mosaic tiles on this bath tub absorbs light all day then at night when you shut the lights off it glows. Pretty trippy. The company called Lucedentro specializes in manufacturing product that is photoluminescence.

Not quite sure what the price of this piece is but it’s pretty amazing to look at. Wish I had that in my crib. Did I just say crib?

Get him a Valentines gift that he can play with

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

What a great gift for the man in your life. Actually is it a really gift for the man in your life or for yourself? Why not let your dude practice while he’s browsing the web. With the G-Spot mouse he can learn all about your vajayjay.

OK OK I’m just playing. This mouse is hilarious. My buddy Tyler sent it to me and told me I should check it out. I’m in awe. A mouse shaped as a vagina. Pretty intense.

Broadband service provided by Google?

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Wow. Talk about a monopoly. What next Google, providing mammograms for women?

Wanting to make internet speedy for customers Google has decided on diving head first into the Broadband market. Look out RoadRunner.

They announced on their blog Wednesday they planned to layout fiber-optic network to at least 50,000 homes and up to 500,000. Currently this is just a testing period for them. They are no where near providing nationwide but you can imagine only if they did.

Seems that they have the support of the FCC as well. Stay tuned for Google to take over the world. Do you think they control Obama?

Buzz, another Social Networking flop from Google?

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

According to some critics it’s a flop. Many are writing negative feedback about the new project by Google calling it a cross from Twitter and Facebook. I received my Google Buzz acceptance today and tried using it for awhile. At first glance I didn’t see anything too great from it. Because I feel Google, much like Apple, always impresses me in the long run I give Buzz a little hope. I’ll grant Google some time to get Buzz where it needs to be. It does have big competition. Twitter is constantly getting more and more followers. Facebook has just recently revamped their interface yet again, which I rather enjoy.
Like GoogleWave I feel they have some plans for Buzz that we can’t even imagine. Check out the video below from Technology Blogger Mark Milian of the LA Times website. He talks a little bit about Buzz and how it works on your phone.

Boost Mobile to launch new flip SANYO Incognito

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boost Mobile. All opinions are 100% mine.

Boost Mobile has done it again. Creating a reasonably priced phone with a great monthly payment I would say this phone would be great for anyone. The phone starts at $129.99 (excluding taxes) and if you buy the phone using the link below you’ll be qualified for free shipping.

So what’s the plan look like for this phone? Unlimited for $50 a month. Unlimited talk, text & web with no contract. NO CONTRACT! Hotness.

With EVDO capabilities and a full QWERTY keyboard, friends and families can stay connected via their favorite social networking sites and share content within seconds. Additional features include Multi-Media messaging (Picture & Video), Stereo Bluetooth® Capable & GPS Enabled.

It has a great camera that shoots 2mp and records video. I’m a huge fan of design and this phone doesn’t let me down when it comes to its looks. Check out the front of it when it’s folded closed.

Pretty sweet. I like the reflected look. It gives it a mirror sleek look. I personally have never owned a Boost Mobile product before but would definitely think of switching after reading about the Incognito.
