Death from Oil. A tribute to BP

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

The ever so famous oil company BP has stated they are solving the current issues with the spill. I’m sure their main concern is how much oil they’ve lost and not so much the amount of damage they’ve done to the ocean and it’s habitat.

I think we all should buy this BP inspired shirt by Ross Robinson, called ‘Death From Oil’. The shirt goes for $25.

Also, while browsing Facebook I came across this image that my buddy Jerome shared on his wall. The picture was taken at a BP gas station by Rush Nicholson. OH THE IRONY!!!!

John please just go bald

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

So I pulled this picture of John Travolta off of PerezHilton.com. I’m sure you can tell from the white writing on top of it pointing out John’s bad wig. Now I’m no where near as brutal as Perez is when it comes to John’s hairline but I will say this…

JOHN WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? You actually have a good look going for you in your new movie “From Paris with Love” (see picture below). Why not stick to the bald? I’m sure most would agree with me on this.

That wig seems to be pretty bad. I believe the look you have is the equivalent of some chick showing off her weave tracks. That’s a big fashion no no. Is it a scientology thing or something? You can’t be bald?

Hmm…guess we’ll never know.

Anderson Cooper is my hero

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

Anderson Cooper is my hero. What a great guy. While on scene filming the Haitan riots he saves a little boy from being demolished by cement blocks being thrown off of buildings. The boy was hit by one of the blocks as you’ll see in the video. I never read reports about the boy having major problems although he was bleeding quite badly in the video.

I’m really annoyed about these riots. Why do people have to riot when everyone should be helping one another.

Charlie and Brooke not gunna make it

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

Charlie Sheen is a hot mess. Well then again so is his wife ex-wife Brooke Mueller. According to the restraining order Charlie had to be out of the house by the time Brooke returned home from Aspen. Sucky situation. The two have had problems for awhile now but this seems to be the finale. I guess two druggies can’t really live together in harmony. Too much drama up in that house hold. It’s a shame when kids are involved. Having a lot of money will not take away the craziness of a coke head. Dr. Drew would agree! LOL

I wish the two all the best. Get your selves situated! For the kids of course.

7 year old tells court his mother cut him

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

This is a crazy ass story. The mother tries to kill herself after slashing her kids throats and leaving them for dead. When she is unsuccessful trying to commit suicide she concocts a story about a stranger trying to kill them. Funny thing is the olders of the two boys (7 years old) was still alive. When asked who cut him he said, “My Mom”.

RIP Patrick Swayze

Horrible news I received today while checking my Twitter. Actor Patrick Swayze has died. Months the poor man has been harassed by the tabloids. Pictures of him looking zombie like skinny surfaced all over. I’m sure that alone didn’t help his health much. He was diagnosed with ‘Pancreatic Cancer’ in late January 2008.

RIP Pat: 1952 – 2009

Below I’ve highlighted some of my favorite movies and their synopsis. (courtesy of: RottenTomatoes.com)

roadhouse_posterPatrick Swayze stars in this modern-day Western as a tough guy who has poetic instincts and drives a Mercedes. Fresh from earning his doctorate in Eastern Philosophy from New York University, mettlesome loner Dalton (Swayze) finds work as a bouncer at an anarchic road house. Within weeks, Dalton has rid the bar of the ruffians ruining its business and has even struck up a romance with a sexy doctor (Kelly Lynch). Then Dalton bounces the wrong man, who turns out to be one of town crime boss Brad Wesley’s henchmen. Wesley first tries to buy Dalton off, but fails. When Wesley learns of Dalton’s new lover — who used to be Wesley’s significant other — Wesley vows bloody vengeance. But Dalton, with his unique mixture of brute force and Zen oneness, isn’t about to let his college money go to waste.

dirtydancing_posterHeadstrong 17-year-old Baby Houseman hardly expects her family’s usual summer vacation in the Catskills to be momentous. But then Baby spies Johnny Castle, the resort’s dance instructor from the wrong side of the tracks. Johnny’s facing a crisis: his dance partner and friend, Penny, is pregnant and has reluctantly decided to get an abortion. This leaves Johnny a solo act — until Baby agrees to take Penny’s place. She has to learn how to dance first, however, and as Johnny teaches her the choreography’s sexy, seductive moves, the two fall in love. But Baby’s father believes that Johnny is the creep who got Penny pregnant, and he furiously orders Baby to end the relationship. Baby knows that Johnny’s innocent — and with her feisty idealism and his dance talent, the two will prove to Baby’s father that their love is worth fighting for.

ghostAfter renovating their expensive loft in the TriBeCa section of Manhattan, Molly (Demi Moore) and Sam (Patrick Swayze), a young successful yuppie couple, are walking home one evening when Sam is tragically gunned down by a street mugger. Molly goes into a deep depression, but, unknown to her, Sam has come back as a ghost in order to protect her from danger–although he isn’t yet aware who or what means her harm, and he has a lot of learning to do in order to make himself known to her. He teams up with an unwilling psychic, Oda Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg), and together they try to convince a very skeptical Molly that Sam was actually murdered and has returned spectrally to complete some unfinished business. Moore and Swayze and are excellent as the couple, and Goldberg won an Oscar for her portrayal of the wild and wacky psychic. GHOST is considered by many to be one of the most romantic films of the 1990s.

RIP Adam Goldstein aka. DJ AM

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

djam_tribute

March 30th, 1973 – August 28th, 2009 – he was 36

The sad news of Adam’s death hit me while I was at work yesterday. I’ve followed DJ AM since I moved to LA. He was not only one of the top DJ’s in Hollywood but he was known to travel all around to open up new clubs and venue’s. I still cannot believe he has passed. Just last year he survived a plane crash in which 4 died and 2 injured. His good friend Travis Barker was one of the injured along with AM.

He was found dead in his New York apartment from what was assumed to be an overdose. Unfortunately he had a relapse after many years of being sober. Many are saying it could be because of his brush of death last year with the plane accident which brought on the drug use.

So many DJ’s and fans are mourning his death today. Twitter alone can prove how many are hurting from this loss. He will be missed.
