Creating the perfect gin or vodka tonic should be in any cocktail enthusiast’s bag of tricks. Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. thinks they have made the closest thing to an ideal gin and tonic with the help of their Small Batch Tonic ($16). They start with a base of quinine, taken from the Cinchona Tree, then sweeten it with real cane sugar; resulting in a complex product that adds a fine bitterness to any cocktail. Try pairing with your favorite gin or vodka, with 4 oz of soda water to create a delicious highball.
