Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. After sleeping eight plus hours, and not eating for at least ten, I’m usually famished by the time I wake up. What better way to conquer that hunger than with a delicious breakfast snack from Quaker?
I was lucky enough to try their new Soft Baked Bars. They sent me two flavors: Cinnamon Pecan Bread and Banana Nut Bread – Both of them equally delicious and nutritious. If I HAD to choose my favorite of the two it would have to be the cinnamon pecan. You can never go wrong with cinnamon.
As mentioned previously, you will also find that the Quaker Soft Baked Bar is not only delicious, but packs a helping of nutrition as well: 140 calories, 5g of fiber, 6g of protein and an excellent source of 5 B-vitamins. It’s the wholesome food your body expects in the morning.
So how exactly should you eat these baked bars? HEAT IT UP! Quaker made it super easy by providing you packaging made for microwaving. Just open up one end of the package to vent and put it in the microwave on high for 10-seconds. Just like that you have a warm bakery style treat to eat on the go. I’ve been warming one up before I head to the office for my car ride. It has been a great addition to my coffee.
The bars were a hit in my office. I opened one box and before I knew it there were no more left. Thankfully I smuggled one away for myself before the scavengers took them all. Below you will find the aftermath of a Quaker Banana Nut Bread Bar – it had no chance of survival.
