Cartier has introduced its Astrotourbillon Carbon Crystal Watch, and it’s a beauty. While many concept watches never become reality, based on the Cartier ID One Concept watch from 2009, the Astrotourbillon has emerged. The piece itself is composed of a niobium-titanium case, featuring crystal components, and an adjustment and lubricant-free pallet and escapement wheel. Seconds in the watch are counted by an off-center wheel bridge with its axis of rotation being the center of the movement. If you’re in the market, you may want to start saving now! The watch itself is expected to be priced at $133,000 and is set to hit stores in 2013.
