Berlin-based artist Michel Lamoller is creating some really intriguing images, just by using a common medium in a really uncommon way. To put his Tautochronos collection together, anywhere from 5 to 10 pictures were taken, cut, and arranged to portray several different points in time of a single environment at once. Sometimes the subject changes their clothes, other times they are simply removed from the image altogether. Regardless of the technique, each result is unusual, captivating, and a little trippy. Also, check out the rest of Lamoller’s other projects in his ‘Work I’. Similar in style to this collection as far as working with layers, he also uses landscapes, faces, and comic books as his subjects.
