Today, Bud Light announced their first ever esports program: the Bud light All-Stars, which is aiming to bring gaming fans the top North American esports athletes from some of the most competitive games being played.

The esports athletes will be revealed on May 7 at DreamHack Austin. These gamers are the cream of the crop, and have been curated with the help of experts in the gaming industry. Some of the games to look forward to include: Heroes of the Storm, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft.

Bud Light is putting fans in the driver seat and letting them vote on their favorite esports athlete. On June 14 in Los Angeles, the top five voted on athletes will be named as the first-ever Bud Light All-Stars live on Twitch. But it doesn’t stop there. All summer long, the Bud Light All-Stars will be delivering exclusive streams on Twitch, upgrading on-site experiences at esports events, and be a part of a behind-the-scenes series being developed by Machinima.

“Bud Light has always been the beer that sports fans – regardless of what they’re watching – reach for and enjoy together,” said Bud Light vice president Alex Lambrecht. “Esports is a new and exciting frontier for us and we’re looking forward to providing another opportunity to bring fans around the country together to cheer for their favorite athlete.”

The first-ever Bud Light All-Stars will finish their summer extravaganza with a celebration with fans at TwitchCon 2016 in October by competing in a three-round elimination tournament. Both fans and the All-Stars will be in for surprises each round.
