Somehow the Nerf Brand has continued to create new products that not only keep teenagers excited, but adults interested as well. Maybe the correct word for adults is actually jealous.

Since the launch of the mega-popular Rival Blasters last year, Nerf fans have been hard at work finding ways of improving them. One of the most popular tweaks made was to the Zeus, making it fully automatic. This DIY was of course noticed by Hasbro designers, and taken into account when creating the next lineup for 2016.

Meet the Nerf Rival Khaos MXVI-4000, the first fully automatic blaster in the Nerf Rival line. Holding down the trigger will empty the gun’s 40-round magazine. The downside, if really any: the blaster is powered with six, yes six D-sized batteries.

Expect the new Nerf Rival Khaos MXVI-4000 to be made available fall of 2016. To see more of what Nerf has in store this year visit Toyland for the exclusive.

Arriving in fall 2016. Until then, check our the Nerf’s existing lineup or read more at Toyland – $70
