Can you believe it’s December already? I sure can’t. With the holidays quickly approaching, I thought I would put together a gift guide with gadgets for the techie dad. Just a little something to help you get inspired for when you’re shopping for dear old dad this Christmas.

1. Brydge Keyboards
iPads themselves make great gifts, but the lack of physical keyboard makes doing work on the go a bit difficult. That’s why I’m a fan of Brydge Keyboards, the premium, sleek keyboard maker for every model of iPad. Each keyboard is forged from a single piece of aluminum and features a 180 degree viewing angle, three-month rechargeable battery, backlit keys and matching iPad colors. It’s the ultimate iPad accessory for those looking to be mobile and productive at the same time, especially if you hate lugging your laptop around with you.

For a limited time for the holidays, Brydge is offering discounts on all models of keyboards as well as bundle deals with accessories.

2. HEX Empire Convertible Backpack
Instead of getting your pops that boring old briefcase, spice things up with the latest from HEX. The Empire Convertible Backpack is constructed in a black quilted nylon treated for water resistance, with an interior padded and faux fur lined keeping your gadgets safe and sound. This is the ideal bag for city dwellers and adventurers alike, looking to bring with them their equipment wherever they go. There’s even a special compartment you can slip your Brydge Keyboard, iPad and Apple Pencil in.

3. Apple Pencil
Whether your dad is an artist, a doodler or just likes to take notes during meetings, the Apple Pencil is the ideal choice. I’ve tried other stylus’ and can tell you none of them are as responsive on an iPad as the Apple Pencil. And there are tons of apps that work great with it.

4. Razer Kraken Pro V2 Headphones
Audio is key, so get your dad a new set of headphones. The Razer Kraken Pro V2 Headphones, though designed for gaming, work great pretty much anywhere else. I personally own these and love taking them from gaming to the coffee shop to work. There is even a brilliantly placed retractable microphone with in-line remote controls for crystal clear communication.

5. iPad Pro
Instead of a laptop this year, get your dad a new tablet. The iPad Pro comes in 9.7 and 12.9-inch displays and are super powerful. So much so, it’s like you’re buying him a laptop after all. Pick from either 32, 128, or 256GB models in Silver, Gold, Space Gray or Rose Gold colors. Just don’t forget to throw in his stocking one of Brydge Keyboards to go with it.
